New Legal Requirement for Postal Vote Applications

From today, voters will be able to apply online to vote by post. Both online and paper applications will now also require ID Verification, this will be in the form of the voter’s National Insurance Number.

 

 

To apply online click https://www.gov.uk/apply-postal-vote?deliveryName=DM31370

 

To download the new form (England only) click https://public.conservatives.com/organisation-department/PO-E_PostalEngland2023_form.pdf?deliveryName=DM31370

 

Postal Vote holders will have to re-apply for a postal vote every three years. The earliest date for this will be 2026.

 

 

Old forms will not be accepted by the local electoral registration office.
