Local election Campaign Compton Ward

Plymouth Conservatives Announce Candidate for Compton Ward

Plymouth Conservatives are pleased to announce Richard Evans as their candidate for Compton Ward in the upcoming local elections in May 2026. Richard moved to Plymouth in 2010 to attend University and has since made the City his permanent home. Over the years, he has built both his life and his business here, contributing to the local economy and community he is proud to have a chance to represent.

Richard is a local business owner whose business focuses on education and skills. He has enjoyed building both his life and his businesses in Plymouth, a fast-changing and exciting city to live and work in. Richard said:

"I’m delighted to have been selected as the Conservative candidate for Compton Ward in the May 2026 local elections. Compton is a wonderful part of our city, with vital high streets and much-loved green spaces enjoyed by residents and families alike. This year’s local elections will be an important opportunity for residents to have their say on an entirely Labour-run local administration. As a local Conservative, I’m determined to ensure local voices are heard and to work for the positive, practical changes that will improve the area for the better".

Protecting Compton’s valuable green spaces, is important to Richard and he believes that enterprise can play a vital role in enhancing local communities. He is determined to ensure Compton remains a thriving and vibrant area for residents and families alike, he looks forward to meeting people across the ward over the campaign.
